Innovation in the cannabis space is a wonderful thing. Over the past few decades, as cannabis has become safer and more accessible, brands of all shapes and sizes have been developing new and exciting ways to consume this awesome plant.
But sometimes, the best thing for cannabis is a re-imagination of the classic forms that have brought us to where we are today.
Space Cakes, for instance, have been a staple for legal cannabis users who flock to the streets of Amsterdam. Past generations have often joked about the power of these potent baked treats, but now these “simple” edibles are overshadowed by vaporizers, ratio-specific tinctures, and small bites for micro-dosing patients.
GOOD CO-OP has a unique mission. They are combining cannabis excellence with culinary artistry, and when the oven opens, you know where the name GOOD originated.
Who is GOOD CO-OP and What Do They Produce?
The brownies from GOOD CO-OP (website, instagram) immediately captured our attention here at Yerba. From our first meeting and sampling, one thing was immediately clear: these were not the brownies our grandmothers joked about.
The GOOD Brownie, available on the Yerba menu beginning April 18th, highlights the evolution of cannabis consumption. The days of packing as much cannabis butter into a food item are quickly passing behind us. Now, cannabis products are being designed to supply cannabinoids while also being delicious in their own right.
GOOD CO-OP takes this to a new level. The company was founded by two childhood friends who, like many producers in the space, enjoyed cannabis but never thought that it would become a legal market. So they grew up and pursued their other interests: business and cooking.
When the cannabis industry began to boom, the co-founders re-grouped and decided to apply their talents to a style of cannabis edible that is sorely needed. The result is a low-dose, high-quality baked good that has already been named the ‘best pot-brownie ever’ by the media group 7×7.
With 10mg of THC per brownie, these tasty medibles are perfect for the new generation of grandmothers (and anyone else who appreciates wonderful baking and gentle cannabis effects).
Why is the GOOD Brownie Great?
What separates the GOOD brownie from other low-dose edibles is the list of ingredients (and the stories behind them):
GOOD chose to use Guittard Chocolate from San Francisco to support local chocolatiers. They infuse vanilla from Mexico City for its distinct aroma with floral notes. World-famous Straus Butter from Marin County is a staple ingredient that is also sourced from the Bay Area. They also mix in whole grain dark rye flour from Oregon because of its rich nutty flavor profile, and last but not least, grass-fed cannabis butter from Arcata in Humboldt County, an infamous stop on the Emerald Triangle Express.
GOOD Samples Available Next Week for 4/20
The team at GOOD CO-OP also does a fantastic job of supporting their community. In addition to selecting locally-sourced ingredients, GOOD CO-OP has been kind enough to supply Yerba patients with free samples so that everyone can experience these superb brownies.
From Tuesday 4/18 to Thursday 4/20, every patient order that includes a purchased edible will also receive a GOOD Brownie sample (while supplies last of course). Order soon to try the best cannabis brownie available!
